Today is the first day of my maintenance diet and I am confident that I will be able to keep the 24 pounds off that I have lost while being on the HCG diet. I was very skeptical and also worried about trying a diet that would include daily shots and a 500 calorie diet. Much to my surprise it was very easy to administer the shots and to stay on the diet. I found that preparing food ahead of time and always having hot tea on hand helped me get over the few stumbling blocks I encountered.
I actually celebrated Thanksgiving during my 30 day injection period and by doing an apple day before Thanksgiving I did not gain any weight.
Dr. Bird is a very kind and accessible physician. He returned my calls and emails in a very timely matter and addressed any concerns or questions that I had.
